Meet the Staff

Meet the Staff

Doug Talley - Doug accepted the call to leave the Florida Church of God Ministries office last year to become the Executive State Minister here in Indiana.  Although he bemoans the cold winters, he is happy to be back.  It was overheard that he actually came back for Gray's Cafeteria Coconut Creme and Chocolate Creme pies.  Doug and his beautiful wife, Cindy, have two grown, married sons and two sweet, much-loved granddaughters.

He's a big sports fan -- especially fond of golf, basketball and baseball.  He enjoys a little photography now and then and a trip to the beach whenever he can get there.  It's a little farther for him now!

Passionately motivated to see churches thrive, truly reaching people for Christ, Doug wants to see Indiana pastors and congregations "make more and better disciples for Jesus Christ, with overemphasis on MORE."  Contrary to popular belief, however, Doug doesn't know ALL the answers.  Don't be put off if we defer you to one of our other team members when you call.  They may be able to help you more than Doug, even though he's a great guy.

Jenene Lighty - If you've got questions about your credentials, being ordained or licensed, or any financial issues, ask for Jenene.  You should also speak with her if you need to transfer in or out of the state of Indiana.  She assists the Dept. of Ministry Services and Ordination & Licensing committees, making interview appointments.  She's super-organized and works hard to make the process of ordination a pleasant one.

Jenene is married with three teenage daughters, one in college, two in high school.  You should probably pray for her.  She enjoys being on the worship team at her church, spending time with family and friends, Starbucks, conquering Sudoku puzzles, watching her girls perform in marching band and guard, scrapbooking and reading.  She's also just a really nice person.

Mimi Klotz - If you've got questions about an event coming up like youth convention, Jr. High events, Iron Sharpens Iron, 3SLI or Annual Meeting, Mimi can probably help you out.  She also maintains the web site and edits the e-newsletter so if your church has some news to share, let her know!  She maintains a file of active resumes available to search committees looking for new pastors and staff.  Mimi answers the phone most of the time and will try to direct you to the person that can best help you.

Mimi is a pastor's wife with three teenage daughters.  You should probably pray for her, too. She loves to play piano and sing, talk, spend time with her family, bake, blog, play games with her family, drink diet coke, dabble in photography, do creative stuff on the computer and explore the Internet.

Cindy Talley - Joining the staff part-time, Cindy is helping Mimi and Jenene retain sanity which is a noble cause.  You may hear her friendly voice answering the phone when you call the office.  She has a lot of great experience in office management and bookkeeping.  She has a heart for pastor's wives and is forming cluster groups for them to help provide much needed support and fellowship. She also directs the annual pastors' wives retreat.

Cindy is Doug's better half, the mother of two grown sons, Steve and Brett, and the proud grandma to two beautiful girls, Julia and Berkley.   She enjoys a golf game once in a while, some bike riding, spending time with her family, laughing, and basically enjoying life.  Hard-working, caring, and young at heart, Cindy is a breath of fresh air at Indiana Ministries.
