SHAPE is designed to strengthen, sharpen, and network pastors and churches in regional areas.  It will help pastors stay healthy, fulfilled, and effective in ministry.

SHAPE will help keep minds sharp, spirits renewed, ministries productive, and hearts connected with God and one another.

Pastors and their churches are asked to enter into a three-year covenant agreement of self-discovery, collaboration with others, and a commitment to growth.  We desire to alter the culture of ministry, specifically the way ministry is carried out by the Church of God.  Health and growth must become intentional so that churches and pastors working in partnership is the norm, not the exception.

• Invest in the personal health, professional growth, and meaningful partnerships of your pastor.
• Strengthen the congregation.  As the pastor becomes healthier and more effective, so will the congregation.
• Identify church health growth forces and life-giving principles that will maximize the capacity for church growth.

SHAPE will help my church:

• Orientation Retreat Weekend - January 28-30, 2010
  
• Occasional Special Events (seminars, marriage retreats)
• One full-day per month for cluster meetings
• Some reading assignments/occasional homework
